Thimbirigasyaya is bustling with a range of new restaurants and Pho Vietnam is one of them. I am not very familiar with Vietnamese cuisine but the owner, Norah is from Vietnam and apparently all the recipes are authentic home made ones. She lives upstairs with her family and the restaurant is downstairs.
Pho is a Vietnamese noodle soup consisting of broth, linguine-shaped rice noodles called bánh phở, a few herbs, and meat. It is primarily served with either beef or chicken. Pho is a popular street food in Vietnam and the specialty of a number of restaurant chains around the world. Southern Vietnamese eat it for breakfast and occasionally lunch, whereas northerners eat it at any time of day. – Wikipedia
My brother and I ordered the large portion of the chicken soup and it was pretty filling for two people. I enjoyed my seafood noodles and thought they had been very generous with the fish and prawns.
The place is cute with its colourful wooden chairs and homely ambiance. Don’t expect gourmet standards yet, but the food is decent and well prepared.
